3. Fundraising

 Fundraising

Hi!

So here's the challenge. I have got 1and 1/2 years to raise the money required to go to the WSJ, and it's a lot! Before the selection weekend I had thought of a few ideas of some of the fundraising I could do including things like: a boot fair sale, sponsored hike, a quiz night and selling paracord bracelets that I would make . Now that the Jamboree trip has become a reality for me, I now know that I better start fundraising. I have to raise £3,600. This may seem like a huge goal, and it is. But I am sure that with some hard work and some good thinking I might just be able to pull this off.

I had a look online for some paracord that was cheap but of good quality. I thought of selling the bracelets at school, my rugby club, my scout group and possibly even taking orders online. I chose the colours that represented the rugby club, school and scouts well. For example my scout groups scarf is black and white so I chose these colours. I also looked at the costs and compared how many I could make to get a profit.

Here is the paracord when it arrived.

Here are some of the examples I made with my dad 👉

I cant wait until I can start selling them and telling people why I am doing the Jamboree and my story so far.
