Parkwood May Fayre
Hi!
The leaders had organised a stall at the Parkwood May fayre. It was said to be very busy meaning a big opportunity to raise money. Any money raised was split between the people who attended the fundraising, so it was fair for the people who actually put an effort in to come.
We arrived there around 10 am and helped to put up the activities including : golf throw, cornholes, hook the duck, lucky dip, and hoops. We split up into groups, I was with Ravi and Isaac. We chose the cornholes as we thought it would be a fun activity to run. Throughout the day we found that the people who spoke more about the wsj and our adventure were raising more money and were more inclined to donate. The leaders had made Qr codes that would enable people to donate. This worked very well.
Around 2 pm we took it in turns to have lunch as someone still had to man the stall. Before we packed up I helped to litter pick the site. We carried on through the day until around 5 ish then packed up and went home. It was great to get to know everyone and a chance to raise some money.
I will update this post when I find out how much money we raised.
